UNION Biztosító wanted a scalable way to reward safer driving and create ongoing user engagement beyond traditional insurance touchpoints – delivering real, tangible value every day, not just at renewal.

  • Give safer drivers a direct, measurable financial reward through lower mandatory liability insurance (MTPL) premiums
  • Deliver immediate value from day one – independent of insurance status or existing driving history
  • Create a coaching tool that helps users understand and improve across speed, braking, acceleration, cornering, distraction and road risk

  • Automatic trip detection via smartphone sensors – no OBD device required
  • Driving behaviour scoring across speed, acceleration, braking, cornering, focus (phone use) and road risk
  • Per-trip breakdown with detailed category scores and route-level feedback
  • Passenger mode: trips can be re-labelled within 24 hours to protect scoring accuracy

Insurance Discount & Engagement

  • Users who take out a new MTPL policy with UNION using the Drivello discount receive an immediate premium reduction – even before a score has been established
  • Once the MOVE Score exceeds 800, users become eligible for an even greater discount at their next renewal
  • Unlike traditional telematics that only assess how someone drives, MOVE Score captures actual risk exposure – how much someone drives, when, and under what conditions. Because exposure to risk is a stronger predictor of claims frequency than driving style alone, it gives UNION a significantly more accurate basis for the discount than a purely behavioural score.
